Setting up a Water Account

Properties must be inspected BEFORE the start of a new service. To schedule an inspection, contact the Permit Department at 817-626-3791, ext. 114. If the water is currently in a Landlords name, renters will  NOT have any authority on the account, including asking for extensions or rereads of the meter. It is REQUIRED for all Water Accounts to be in the name(s) of those who occupy the property, age 18 and older.

Once the property has been inspected, you will need to come to City Hall and bring the following: 

  • A valid US driver’s license or identification card
  • Money for deposit (cash, credit, money orders, or checks accepted) DEPOSIT MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT TIME OF APPLICATION.
  • Either a lease agreement, if you are renting OR closing papers, if you just purchased the property.
  • Optional: Save time by printing and completing the UB NEW SERVICE APPLICATION below or arrive at City Hall and a blank copy will be provided to you at the Water Department window.
